Meeson Hall, a country house in Shropshire, dates back to 1640. With red sandstone walls and three straight gables, our 3 cottages offer relaxing and spacious accommodation – perfect for a country getaway. Why not visit for a romantic break away for a few nights in The Bothy, Housekeepers Cottage or Courtyard Cottage or get your family or friends together and hire all three of our rural cottages for a home from home experience to remember.
We are situated in a rural setting just 10 miles outside Telford, Meeson Hall is also in easy reach of Shrewsbury, Market Drayton and Harper Adams University – ideal if you’re needing a base whilst visiting children at school. There are some lovely National Trust properties to visit within a short distance like Attingham Park in Shrewsbury and Sunny Croft in Wellington. The County town of Shrewsbury, the birth place of Charles Darwin, is a must to visit along with Ironbridge with its wealth of character and museums to explore.
Guest at our three country cottages can meander around the eight acres of landscaped grounds and paddocks, or hire a bike to explore the many popular bike routes and villages in the area. If you fancy a more relaxed getaway, there’s plenty of wildlife to watch just outside your window.
All three cottages have outside dining areas for alfresco dining on summer evenings and for those winter evenings each has a cosy log burner to snuggle in front of.
